Gurkha Fort

Kasauli Brewery

Established by Edward Dyer in the 1820’s, this is one of the oldest distilleries for scotch whiskey in Asia. So, after you’ve explored the place, feel free to sit here and enjoy a glass of drink with your loved ones till late in the evening.

Timber Trail Resort

Timber Trail Resort

Spread over two mighty hills, the Timber Trail Resort is a delightful part of the town that is connected by a cable car. The resort is situated in Parwanoo, about a 40 km distance from Kasauli, and makes up for a great holiday destination and a charmer for families with kids owing to the cable car ride it offers. Located atop a mountain amid pine forests, the resort also offers breathtaking views of the entire town as well as the meandering Kaushalya River. Covering about 2 km in less than 10 minutes, the cable car has a capacity to carry about 10-12 people from the resort premises over to the Timber Hill Heights, a great spot for viewing the sunset.

Central Research Institute

Currently managed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Central Research Institute (or CRI) was established by the Britishers during the colonial rule in India. Now a beautiful campus involved in various diligent research and development activities, the institute lures in travelers from around the world who are fascinated by its architecture and the colonial connections. Other than the architecture, the institute also gains its popularity from the fact that it has successfully devised vaccines for the treatment of various ailments like smallpox, cholera, snakebite, and even typhoid. Currently, it is working on curbing diseases like measles and polio in collaboration with the World Health Organisation.
